The country has been reduced to a level of collective stupidity that is unequalled in our history. The Republicans and the Democrats have both had their parties hijacked. One, for an imperialistic corporate imperative; the other, for a kinder version of the same.
It's not about business and labor. It's about confusing and conditioning a population to accept a predetermined agenda that keeps us in a narrowly focused view of the world and the issues facing it.
Moderates have been scorned and ridiculed -- wishy-washy, undecisive -- and this is where it stops. Reasoned and reasonable discource, toward a common agreement, not perfect, but more perfect, is the outcome. There are only two rules here. Make your point, then broaden the context, so it makes sense, or establish context and then make your point. This is where your voice can be heard and where we, the real mediators and facilitators, can make a difference.
