I do agree when you let a man or step parent into your life you must be willing to let that person parent or its like "partial duties" and partial "rewards". If the step parent is good and loving and whole hearted, in it for the family thing and two people have married then, it's official! It's not why people stay together but why do people get married. People get married for the wrong reasons and why that superficial reason for marriage gets old or you loose it, love is not there to substain the relationship.
