Ontario's RIKI KNOX is a Bona fide Country Girl - and that's also the name of her debut album. With musical influences like Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard and Blue Rodeo playing in her childhood home, Riki was naturally drawn to the stories & messages in Country music. Her father, a singer/songwriter, taught Riki to appreciate the lyrics and feelings being conveyed in songs. During nightly kitchen table jam sessions, it became evident that Riki had vocal abilities and a musical soul, well ahead of her young years. Fast forward: She has shared the stage with Canadian music icons Marc Jordan, Carole Pope, Blair Packham, Justin Hines, and will be the opening act for Canadian Country star Dallas Smith at the Port Perry Fair on September 1st. Recently nominated for three music awards in Durham Region, Ontario, Riki walked away with Country Recording of the Year which led to her showcase performance at Canadian Music Week 2013 in Toronto. She's a singer, a songwriter, an entertainer and definitely a Bona fide Country Girl.
