Motherhood and the Discipline of Children

What greater gift is there than for the Lord to entrust you with his children? (Psalms 127:3)Your young ones look to you to instruct them regarding what is right and to correct them in the event of their disobedience. (Proverbs 23:13-14). They rely on your having your wits about you regarding all matters concerning them (Ecclesiasticus 5:15), which is why you need to fight as hard as you can against the spirits that seek to distract you. (1 Peter 2:8) Your children watch you and fashion themselves according to your example and instruction. As a mother it is imperative that you are aware of this, and that you understand the fact that the measures you take will determine the fate of your children. (Exodus 20:5-6)
