Will Christian Fathers Please Stand

The Daughter of Christ speaks on the crucial role of Fathers in the home and how a lack thereof, particularly in the African-American community, has adversely affected the family as a whole. She will feature Sons of Christ as invited Guests to share their personal testimonies and dialogue on Word-based solutions to this social ill from a Christian perspective. Her invited guests include: Omari L. Pearson, Former Int'l , College and High School All-Star Basketball Player (sharing from the fatherless home perspective and how it has now shaped/impact his life and role as a father to his toddler son), Elder Rufus Simpkins, First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington, DC, (sharing from the married/present father's perspective) along with his Grandson, Emanuel D. Young, (sharing from the joint-custodial parent perspective). Special highlight will be Darnella's son, DaSean W. Gallishaw, sharing his personal feelings of growing up without the presence of or relationship with his own father who he hasn’t spoken with since 2009. The goal is to minister to the hurt, pain and lack being experienced in fatherless homes. Moms, Dads and children alike should all tune in and be blessed!
