Horror author, Jason Hughes joins us! Come see what the fuss is about!

Jason grew up Texas. He has always loved Horror (and nightmares) since a young age and was practically raised on it, from age one. He loves (true) Horror as brutal as it can be.... as well as realistic. Especially seventies Horror. He plays the drums and has opened for some of his idol musicians. He has been writing since a very young age. When he was a teenager, He had three poems published in three different books. He graduated from Hardin-Jefferson High school in 1995 and has also been into special effects, since a very young age. He attended College at Tom Savini's (another lifelong idol) Special Effects Program in Pennsylvania. From there, he met many other Horror icons and idols and has worked with them. He graduated the Special Effects program in 2004. He still does special effects today, as well as writing Novels and screenplays. His writing idols have always been Stephen King, Jim Morrison and Dax Riggs. He strives to have his stories to the depth of King's writings, but usually always staying within the (somewhat) boundaries of (mostly a brutal) realism... along with graphic Horror imagery, such as the great Horror films of the seventies(...and three of today..The directors' cuts of ....”Murder-Set-Pieces," “August Underground” and “The Devil's Rejects”)... and always with a center core (hidden) theme. To him... “if you're going to make or write Horror... make it something that will always be burned into the witnesses' or viewer's eyes and minds... months or even years after viewing... or reading it... like true Horror... and terror... should be...Not only do I want to just SCARE the reader... I want to SCAR them...”-J.H.

Cox/Editor, and Liquid Imagination’s Blog Interview, host tba Previous reviews were with RaeLori by Rachael and Sonar4 Magazine by the awesome Kerry Morgan! On November 22, 2009 she will be on the Sonar4 Talk Show. Her first novel Mind on Fire, a psychological thriller based on three generations of serial killers who are fixated on one specific family. It’s a taunting series you must read with the lights on. Seriously this book takes dark fiction to a new level. It is not based on the normally assumed mindless blood and gore, but a deep look into the minds and lives of these serial killers and the psychological probing of nature vs. nurture and the ego driving maniac.. Terror at its best. Second in the series, From the Ashes is underway and is expected to released by Spring 2010. Come join us and see what is behind the mind of the writer, C.A. Dawson..
