I literally put this show together right after the Raptors loss. I wrote that lengthy article in a day's work and it worked out great, don't you think so?
The Raptors are a joy to watch, They provide excitement, class, and entertainment. I only jumped on the bandwagon this year, but hey, I'm already lovin' it! That's what makes sports so attractive, its power to inspire. Sports cross cultural barriers, language barriers, all kinds of divides. In the ancient times they had to stop wars for the Olympics. Basketball is a beautiful sport. One of the best, I have to say!
The passion of the Toronto fans and the teamwork of the Raps is just amazing! We've been through a bittersweet 12 years. All those guys out there play hard and are a class act. Bosh with all his skills, Parker with the triples and steals, Ford with his toughness, Nesterovic with his jumpers, Calderon with his passes, Bargnani with his promising future, Garbajosa with all those baskets, MoPete with "the Buzzer Beater" in Washington, Martin with his leadership, Graham and Dixon with their versatility. This is a true team!! I can't say enough good things.
It's been a pleasure to have Chuck Swirsky as our commentator. Bored? Call Chuck! He's such a character and a nice person. I hope he's back next year!! Jack Armstrong too, he's a great analyst and joins in on the fun with Chuck. Those two know the game and I love listening to them.
We came so close. What more can you say. Being down 3-1, many people thought it was over. But we just fought til the end. The never say die attitude helped us play some intense basketball in Game 5 and 6. Game 6 was ours, man, but Nets were a little too strong at the end. It came down to that last play and somehow, it just didn't work out.
We begin a brand new season in about 5 months time and until then, I'll be relishing all the great moments of the 06-07 Raptor campaign. In 07-08, everyone will hopefully be healthy and we'll be an even stronger team.
