TEXT: Exodus 16:1-3

Richard Baxter said, "Gluttony is a voluntary excess in eating for the pleasing of the appetite, or some other carnal end. It is sometimes an excess in quantity, when more is eaten than is meet. Or else it may be an excess in the delicious quantity, when more regard is had to the delight and sweetness than is meet. Or it may be an excess in the frequency and ordinary unseasonableness of eating; when men eat too oft, and sit at it too long."

According to Stanford Health Care Center, obesity can contribute to sleep apnea and respiratory problems. "Sleep apnea, which causes people to stop breathing for brief periods, interrupts sleep throughout the night and causes sleepiness during the day. It also causes heavy snoring. Respiratory problems associated with obesity occur when added weight of the chest wall squeezes the lungs and causes restricted breathing. Sleep apnea is also associated with high blood pressure."

This is an uncomfortable subject for many of us, but if you listen and take heed, this particular series can not only change your life spiritually, but it can save your life physically.
