TEXT: Matthew 2:1-6

King Herod was very anxious over the news of the arrival of a new King of the Jews. He got nervous when the wise men came to him and told him who they were looking for. Perhaps, they thought that the King heralded by the star would be born in the current king's palace. However, they did not find Jesus there. Herod hastily summoned the Jewish priest and scribes -- the Bible says he called "all" of them -- and he "demanded of them where Christ should be born." He did not ask nicely; he demanded that they produce this knowledge.
