TEXT: John 10:27-33

Billy Sunday said, "Conversion is a complete surrender to Jesus. It's a willingness to do what he wants you to do."

In our last message, we left off talking about Jesus' promise that no one can snatch believers out of His hand of protection and preservation. In the same vein, Jesus said that God Himself will protect and preserve us. Jesus ended that explanation by saying, "I and my Father are one."

By this time, the Jews knew that when Jesus referred to His "Father" He was talking about God. They knew that to claim God as one's Father was to claim divinity for one's self -- in essence, making one's self a god or even equal to God. This was blasphemy in their eyes and deserving of death. The Bible reads, "Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him."
