TODAY'S POEM: "Manasseh Bowed in His Affliction" by Margaret Cagle

Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Psalm 6:9 which reads: "The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer."

Our featured prayer motivator quote is from an Author Unknown. He said: "There are three degrees in prayer. The lowest is that spoken only by the lips. The next is when, by a resolute effort, we succeed in fixing our thoughts on Divine things. The third is when the soul finds it hard to turn away from God."

My personal encouragement for you today is this: God wants to hear from you every day and throughout the day. That is why He commanded us in His Word to "pray without ceasing."

Our prayer motivator devotional today is titled "PRAYER OPENS UP DIVINE RESOURCES" part 5 from the book, "Purpose in Prayer" by E.M. Bounds.

"I have seen God's hand stretched out to heal among the heathen in as mighty wonder-working power as in apostolic times," once said a well-known minister. "I was preaching to two thousand famine orphaned girls in India, at Ra-ma-bai's Muk-ti (salvation) Mission. A swarm of serpents as venomous and deadly as the reptile that smote Paul, suddenly raided the walled grounds, 'sent of Satan,' Ra-mabai said, and several of her most beautiful and faithful Christian girls were smitten by them, two of them bitten twice. I saw four of the very flower of her flock in convulsions at once, unconscious and apparently in the agonies of death.
