The Bible says in Acts 1:10-11: "And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."
PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled "God is Still on the Throne" (Part 3) from Dr. Ed Hindson's book "Revelation: Unlocking the Future".
At the beginning of Revelation chapter 4, John is about to be temporarily "raptured" to heaven "in the Spirit." He suddenly sees a door opened in heaven. The force of the original Greek text emphasizes that the door was already opened and that it remains open. It is the third door mentioned in the Revelation:
1. The door of opportunity
2. The door of the Church
3. The door of heaven
John is instantly transported "back to the future" to view the things which "must take place after these things." This experience is a vision of the future. It is a "trance" not an actual rapture. The apostle's body remained on earth while his spirit ascended into heaven. This is not unlike the experience the apostle Paul describes in 2 Corinthians 12:1-4, of being "caught up" into the third heaven...
