Our soul winning passage from the Word of God today is 1 Corinthians 9:16-17 which reads: "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me."
Our soul winning quote today is from Mother Teresa. She said: "Each one of them is Jesus in disguise."
Our soul winning devotional is part 63 of our series titled "What Evangelism Is" from Dave Earley and David Wheeler.

Ministry After Hurricane Katrina
One August 23, 2005, Hurricane Katrina formed in the Atlantic Ocean over the Bahamas and crossed into southern Florida causing damage and death. After going out into the Gulf of Mexico and gaining strength, Katrina crashed into southeast Louisiana and tore its way to central Texas. By the time it had finished, 1,836 people had lost their lives in the hurricane and in subsequent floods, making Katrina one of the deadliest hurricanes in history. Katrina was the largest natural disaster in the history of the United States causing over $100 billion in damage. The most severe loss of life and costliest damage was in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
A disaster relief worker from Ohio told the inspiring story of a man and his family who were displaced by the hurricane. The man, a longtime resident of the New Orleans area, was forced to flee New Orleans like thousands of other people. He and his family packed up the few possessions that were left and moved to northern Louisiana.
There the man was greeted by Southern Baptist Disaster Relief ministry teams offering hot meals, clothing, showers, and other amenities. The government provided shelter for his family in a small trailer.
