Our soul winning passage from the Word of God today is Luke 14:12-14 which reads: "Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."

Our soul winning quote today is from Albert L. Meiburg. He said: "Need is the trigger which activates God's call to minister if we have the heart to hear and respond."

Our soul winning devotional is part 58 of our series titled "What Evangelism Is" from Dave Earley and David Wheeler.

Evangelism Is...Incarnational Living
Like Jesus we must be willing to go. We must learn to live like Jesus. But even more importantly, we should be Jesus to a hurting world.

Living the Incarnational Life
Theology speaks of the incarnation of Jesus Christ, describing God's taking on human flash. It is succinctly expressed in the Gospel of John: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Jesus, the Son of God, took human flesh so He could show us what God was like up close and personal. Yet He did not merely leave the glory of deity in heaven to stoop down to be one of us; He stepped even lower and became our servant! Mark 10:43-45 reads, "But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."
