This is the Second Coming Watch Sunday Roundup for July 6, 2014. On the Roundup we feature the top 10 prophecy-related news stories that happened this past week which point towards the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it.
1. An Israeli government minister said Israel does not expect world powers to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran by a late July deadline and accused Tehran of maintaining a "hard line" at talks under way in Vienna. Steinitz also said that Israel was ready to meet any Jordanian request to help fight off Islamist insurgents.
2. Hamas on Saturday evening threatened to reach "all" of Israel’s cities with its rockets, several hours after targeting the city of Beersheba as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considered a tougher response to the attacks.
3. A survey released by Accenture shows that for technologies that were once considered creepy, the public is making concessions: most people are willing to share biometric information with government agencies if it would in some way improve national security and make travel safer or faster.
The Bible says in Revelation 4:1: "After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter."
Our Second Coming quote for today is from Oswald Chambers. He said: "We are apt to make the mistake of looking for God to put things ostensibly right immediately. If we dwell much on the Second Coming without having a right spiritual relationship to God, it will make us ignore the need for spiritual tenacity."
