Our soul winning verse from the Word of God today is 1 Peter 5:8 which reads: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

Our soul winning quote today is from Jim Elliot. He said: "We are spiritual pacifists, non-militants, conscientious objectors in this battle-to-the-death with principalities and powers in high places....We are "sideliners" - coaching and criticizing the real wrestlers while content to sit by and leave the enemies of God unchallenged. The world cannot hate us, we are too much like its own. Oh that God would make us dangerous!"

Our soul winning devotional is part 35 of our series titled "What Evangelism Is" from Dave Earley and David Wheeler.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Prayer Is Powerful
The apostle Peter was a powerful evangelist. Three thousand people were saved as a result of his first sermon. He personally understood the spiritual battle that goes with aggressive evangelism. He was often arrested and imprisoned. He saw his church in Jerusalem scattered around the world through persecution.
