2. According to Israel Today, the former director of the Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister's Office Brig. Gen. Nit-zan Nu-ri-el said that Israel should do all it can to help the new secular government in Egypt beat the Muslim Brotherhood, even if that means amending the Military Annex of the Camp David peace accords to allow more Egyptian military assets into the Sinai Peninsula.

3. According to The Christian Post, Mohabat News has reported that the pastor of Iran's largest Persian speaking Pentecostal church, who was arrested on May 21 while leading a worship service in Tehran, was released on bail on July 2.

4. According to CNN, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia over the weekend, days after a temblor left dozens dead in the nation. The quake struck off the island of Sumatra and no tsunami alert was issued.

5. According to Morning Star News, in scattered locations across Egypt, mobs of hard-line Muslims enraged over the deposing of the country's Islamist president this week attacked Christian homes, business and church buildings. Angry over what they saw as a coup, the attacks came as part of massive, nationwide protests.

The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
