Our prayer motivator verse for today is Psalm 39:12 which reads: "Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were."

My personal encouragement today is this: There is great power through prayer to God. And there are great benefits from God in prayer. You will find as you trail through life that you will need God, and prayer invites God to work in, through, and for your life.

Our prayer motivator quote today is from E.M. Bounds. He said: "The central significance of prayer is not in the things that happen as results, but in the deepening intimacy and unhurried communion with God at His central throne of control in order to discover a sense of God's need in order to call on God's help to meet that need."

Our prayer motivator devotional today is part 31 of our series titled "THE SIN OF PRAYERLESSNESS" from Dr. John R. Rice.

If a man kills somebody, that may show premeditated hate, deliberate murder, or it may show a sudden flare of temper in a fight, or it may show simply carelessness in driving. Or the killing may have been altogether accidental.
