Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Matthew 6:9-13.

Our prayer motivator quote today is from R.A. Torrey. He said: "Oh, men and women, pray through; pray through! Do not just begin to pray and pray a little while and throw up your hands and quit; but pray and pray and pray until God bends the heavens and comes down."

Our prayer motivator devotional today is part 19 of our series titled "DOES GOD WORK MIRACLES TODAY?" from Dr. John R. Rice.

Do you believe there are angels? The Bible has a very clear teaching about angels. They are heavenly beings. According to the Bible, they go and come without any regard to natural laws such as gravity and the limitations of time and space. Angels are messengers from God and report back to God. They are in Hebrews 1:14 "all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them [us] who shall be heirs of salvation." Human beings do not often see these heavenly beings, but they are always about us.

Jacob saw them more than once. Elisha saw them, and Joshua, Gideon, the father and mother of Samson, Balaam, Daniel, Hagar, Zechariah, Joseph, Mary, Paul, and many others, saw angels, according to recorded instances. Angels went to Sodom. Angels appeared at the open tomb of the Saviour. Angels appeared after He went away, and reminded the disciples that Jesus would come again. The Scripture says that little children have guardian angels --- Matthew 18:10 says "their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." Psalm 34:7 tells us, "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them."
