Ecclesiastes 1:2 reads, "Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”
Too many young black women are wearing themselves out, running after the vain pleasures of the world. Many have been misled by the popular saying, “Everybody’s doing it.” Because of this, many are falling headlong into this worldly pit which they cannot easily climb out of.
One of the main reasons why many young black women are following the vanities of this world, are being led astray, and are thus destroying their lives, is because they refuse to think for themselves. I cannot say this enough—THINK FOR YOURSELF! Do not let others think for you. The Bible talks about the broad road that many are on. That road is one of looseness, whoredom, fornication, lies, deceitfulness, rebellion, disobedience, bad attitudes, confusion, hatred, materialism and pain. Out of love and concern for us feeble and sinful human beings, Jesus Christ left these very words of warning with us in Matthew 7:13: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.”
