Netanyahu says Iran is giving Assad personnel to kill his own people. According to the Jerusalem Post, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran is providing Syrian President Bashar Assad with both arms and personnel to butcher his people. In an interview with German newspaper, Bild, he urged the International community to "understand who is supporting this brutality, this butchery - it is Iran and Hezbollah. Killers supporting killers, giving them weapons, personnel to actually do the killing. This is what we are facing: Iran, which brutally murdered its people on the streets, Syria which has perfected the technique of shelling its own civilian population with artillery."
Volcano in the South Pacific begins erupting. According to ABC Radio Australia, a new series of eruptions have begun on Manam Island off Madang in Papua New Guinea prompting officials to give warnings to residents to take precautions. The volcano is one of the most active in Papua New Guinea claiming several lives over the last decade. Vents on the volcano are glowing at nights and explosions in the craters can be heard more than 15 kilometres away. Ima It-a-ka-rai, the assistant director of the Rabaul Volcanology Observatory says the possibility of a major explosion cannot be ruled out, but it is not imminent.
Russia has world's largest nuclear arsenal. According to Israel National News, Russia, which is helping Iran develop nuclear power, has more nuclear warheads than any country in the world. Worldwide, there are an estimated 19,000 nuclear warheads held by eight countries. The list of countries includes Israel, which the Institute estimates has 80 nuclear warheads. Israel officially has a policy of "nuclear ambiguity" but is assumed by most everyone to have manufactured nuclear warheads. Russia has close to 10,000 nuclear warheads.
