MidSouth With the patience and dedication of an unknown, seasoned Vet, layered with a delivery swagger that has not been heard yet, By the time MIDSOUTH was 16, he was mesmerizing older combatants with the lyrical depth of a seasoned professional Major rap artist. This Georgia raised, southern fried emcee, was first introduced to hip-hop at an early age. Deandre Perryman DeAndre Perryman, a native of E. St. Louis, Illinois, won national acclaim after appearing on Season 4 of American Idol and in 2006, he was named The Best R&B Artist by popular entertainment publication, The Riverfront Times. Singer/songwriter DeAndre Perryman has what it takes! Blessed with a flawless voice and impeccable stage presence, Perryman is staying busy, spreading his independent music. Most recently, he captivated audiences as a featured performer as opening act for J Records' Tyrese, as part of the VH1 Soul Tour. He has a knack for capturing the attention of the crowd with range from up-tempo dance tunes to smooth melodic love songs. In 2002, he made his first run at American Idol fame, beating out 9 thousand local contestants. Two years later, he became a household name nationally after making it to the top 25 on Season 4 of Idol. Perryman’s talents have now given him the opportunity to perform at a host of different venues, on the ticket with numerous national recording artists including Nelly, Brian McKnight, Busta Rhymes, and Eightball and MJG.
