As a democrat myself, this title is appropriate. The stars have aligned for us. We have not 1 but 2 wonderful candidates for president. 80+% of the country thinks the country is headed in the wrong direction. The economy is on the verge of a recession, the war in Iraq is growing costlier by the day and people are sick of it. And the Republican Party is loosing elections in solid republican districts left and right.
Sounds like a recipe for victory doesn’t it? Not if the democrats can help it!
The timing for the democrats couldn’t be better to take the White House, and pick up seats in the house and in the senate.
But leave it up to the democrats to find a way to F**K it up!
Here we are after West Virginia and before Kentucky and we have a split in our party. West Virginia showed the country they cannot stomach the thought of voting for a black man.
Now before you say Hey! It’s not because he’s black, it’s because he doesn’t have any experience! Several people in WV admitted it was because Obama was black, oh yeah and he’s a Muslim too.
So back to the democrats F**King this up. We have taken an energized, mobilized, sick of the republican and ready to vote their butts out of office party, and turned it into an internal civil war. Good going Dems.
I do not consider myself to be apart of the civil war. If Hillary were to beat Obama fair and square, I would put aside all hard feelings and vote for her. Some of her supporters do not feel the same way.
John Edwards said (and I’m paraphrasing here) If someone doesn’t vote for Obama because he’s black, that’s not a vote I want.
Now I have a hard time picturing a politician turning down a vote, but I give Edwards cool points for making that stand. Hillary…um I don’t see her saying ANYTHING to that affect.
To be the party that accepts all people black, white, Hispanic, gay, straight, religious, secular, the West Virginia primary showed me that the “working class voter” is a tacit way of saying ignorant, xenophobic, and racist.
Since seeing the movie Wrong Turn, I said that the hell is going on in West Virginia? Since seeing the people of West Virginia’s reasons for not voting for Obama
(race, ignorance) I say to myself, how can we be apart of the same democratic party?
If the democrats can’t get it together it will be Bush III in the white house and we all will be pointing fingers at each other wondering what the hell happened?
