I am Kevin Black and I am a 20+ year internationally-recognized urban music executive. I started my career as a roadie for Run DMC and a street marketing representative for Def Jam where I helped break LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Public Enemy and many more.

I then went on to earn senior management and executive positions with Interscope Records where I became Senior Vice President responsible for breaking Eminem, Dr. Dre, Tupac, Snoop, Keisha Cole, Robin Thicke, Lady GaGa, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, No Doubt, Limp Bizkit, Will Smith and many, many more.

Then at Warner Brothers I became Head of Urban Music reporting directly to the Chairman. While at Warner I lead our marketing efforts for Eric Benet, Brian McKnight, Madonna, Mike Jones, Linkin Park and signed Wiz Khalifa.

I have shaped the careers of many well known and established recording and performing artists. I have helped build some of the biggest and most successful entertainment companies in the world. With experience from my previous leadership roles, I am now looking to work with the best and expand my legacy of marketing excellence at U Can Fly.
