  Robin Sax, DA Los Angeles, And The CyberHood Watch With Teachable Moments
  

  The CyberHood Watch closed out the hour with Robin Sax, LA's District Attorney, with some great teachable moments for parents on how to stop being tech paranoid and become tech savvy. Do it for your children before someone does it to them.
  
  If you are not aware of it, then listen closely and do not overlook this fact about your children. Your kids, and children in general, are craving for attention, and if you don't take the time to acknowledge this fact, then there are hundreds of thousands of predators online who are willing to give your child the attention s/he are craving. That is a fact, and at any given time one of those predators will be grooming multiple children at a time, and now those numbers may have jumped ten times more. Predators know your children crave attention and it is their greatest asset to exploit.
  
  You ca do something about it, and it's not only easy, but on top of it all you may find it fun and if nothing more it may actually stimulate and increase your business acumen.
  
  Whether or not any of those things take place, one thing is for sure, you will have spent time with your child and created a teachable moment, which will open the door to further questions for parents to understand your child's world of social networking. And without your input and wisdom as an adult, your child is left alone to fend for themselves.
  
  I like to ask the question to a parent, "Knowing your child, do think you can outsmart them?" I know without hesitation, when my child was a "tween" or young teenager, I could always have the upper hand, if that was my intended goal. Therefore, why in the world would you leave your child alone without proper supervision in the hands of an expert, whose sole intention is to manipulate your child and rob them of their innocence for their own perverted pleasure?
  
  Robin Sax is an authority when it comes to dealing with child sex crimes. Robin has written a book that depicts how she has learned many of her parenting skills from her involvement in the criminal prosecution of these pervasive and perverted individuals.
