Robert specializes in restorative justice, teen and societal issues and has done extensive radio and TV on issues from bullying to celebrity justice. P.A.T.H.™ PRACTICAL ALTERNATIVES TO HOSTILITIES PATH for conflict litigants is designed to transform conflicting parties, often in a marital dispute, to use the present conflict as an opportunity for growth and to eliminate extensive and uncomfortable court involvement. It is a four week program in which parties separately learn through a psycho educational format to tackle their cognitive distortions and promotes compassionate communication and self expression. PATH participants are encouraged to recognize the thinking errors, anger, social skills and empathy that are hindering their needs being met. PATH for kids is a four week psycho educational program designed for kids ages 12-17 who are having some difficulty with resolving conflict and/or making poor choices with peers, at school or at home. PATH for kids empowers adolescents to recognize that they possess the power to make positive choices and helps them to develop the ability to control their emotions. Participants are made aware of some common blocks to communication, such as: thinking Errors, anger, lack of social skills and practicing empathy. Variations of this program have been successful with adolescents who are on Probation in Suffolk County.
