Trend Micro's global director of education, David Perry, is in the house today, or as we say the 'HOOD' Trend Micro is one of the worlds leaders when it comes to internet security and online safety!!

 

With more than 25 years of experience David's knowledge on topics related to Internet security, ID theft, cyberbullying, data security, etc. and how the average consumer can easily protect themselves and make smarter decisions is of great importance for every family.

 

David Perry is the Global Director of Education for Trend Micro, a computer antivirus software company[1]. He represents Trend Micro at industry, government, customer and reseller events worldwide. Long considered a leading authority on computer virus prevention with more than 25 years in the technical support and education field. David has appeared at numerous industry trade shows, been featured on hundreds of television and radio broadcasts and in print media interviews, and is well recognized in the antivirus industry. He is one of the most quoted experts in the field of computer viruses, malware and security education. Recently, David has been busy in the media explaining about the Conflicker virus [2] and malware[3].

 

Perry has worked in the field since 1991, and in the computer industry since 1979. David has been interviewed by Time magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, ZDNet and other publications. He has appeared on TV and radio all over the world, including Good Morning America, BBC News, Fox News and ABC News.

 

He lives in Huntington Beach, California with his wife, Margaret. David practices close-up stage magic in his spare time. He is also known for being an enthusiast for Disneyland along with his brother having a collection of vintage Ticket Books with unused "E"-tickets. In summer every year, he hosts a barbecue for Information Technology, Security, and Anti-virus professionals. David is known for his sense of humor.
