Assistant Professor, Karrie G. Karahalios joins Dave and Bill today and shares her research and experience on the impact of social media and global communication... We'll be discussing the interaction of social sites and other places such as chat rooms, twitter, and physical places such as parks, restaurants or cafe type gathering places!

 

Social Spaces goal is to investigate sociable systems for mediated communication. This encompasses a wide range of areas:

 

- Explore and build virtual-physical spaces for mediated communication
- Build communication objects that connect people and/or spaces
- Build interactive interfaces that connect spaces
- Visualize and study how people interact within social spaces...
