"Family Matters: Kinship Caregivers Around The Country Convene At The Capitol"

Over six million children are living with a relative as their caregiver. Close to four and a half million of these children live with grandparents. On May 7, hundreds of grandparents and other relative caregivers will converge on the Capitol in Washington, DC at noon for the third annual “Grand Rally.” In support of the coming “Grand Rally” at the Capitol, “On-the-Line” with CWLA features a timely discussion to raise awareness about the imperative needs of kinship families.
