Harper McConnell is the US Director of Development of HEAL Africa, an organization founded and based in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. HEAL Africa is the largest fistula repair hospital in North Kivu province (the province in the heart of the war) and has various community development programs including micro-finance, education, reconciliation initiatives, and HIV AIDS treatment clinics.
