Matt earned the title of world team roping (header) champion at the Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas in 2006 and 2008. In 2011 he arrives in Las Vegas having earned a 4th place ranking and is trying for his third World Championship. He and his wife and their seven children live in Pima, AZ. The entire family travels with him on the rodeo circuit in the summer.
