Call in to speak with the host
I have not talked about the case much. I did not watch the trial—but then I don’t watch television often.
I find myself ready to go into the conversation because of a conversation I had with my 19 year old Hispanic/African-American son.
He was adamantly arguing why the veridict was appropriate. I was arguing against the verdict. During our heated conversation I come to realize my son was in a different zone. I talked with him about how people see him…
In light of the verdict for George Zimmerman in the death of Travon Martin, I had to devote at least one show to the topic of the relationship that has spanned centuries but is still charged with discord--the African American and Eur-American relationship.
It's good to talk.
