Curious Times - Native American Music Award Nominees - SWR

Join us for 2 hours at 10 PM Eastern as we welcome the CEO of Spirit Wind Records, and friend of this show, Donald Blackfox.

Tonight we will be playing music nominated for awards at this year's Native American Music Awards, by Artists who record under the Label Spirit Wind Records. Some 24 nominations for Spirit Wind Records Artists are in the mix, and these are very talented Performers/Musician/Groups/Singers. Among them are folks who have been guests on this show, and whose music we have heard, including the Story Tellers.

Native American music is no longer defined as pow wow music and it crosses many genres, and boasts some extremely talented Musicians.

The Awards Ceremony is being held Friday May 10th, 2013 at the Seneca Niagra Hotel & Casino, Niagra Falls, New York. These award ceremonies are usually held in November, but due to the hurricane last year had to be postponed till May.

We will be encouraging our listeners to go to the NAMMA website, register for an account, and vote for Spirit Wind Records Performing Artists.
