Tonight we continue our "The Color of Hope" Series intended to raise awareness about Domestic Violence and the project undertaken by Spirit Wind Records and a number of recording artists called Color of Hope.
In the first half hour of the show we will be joined by Deb New Moon Rising of The Story Tellers. We will discuss her involvement in the project, and will then listen to the story she contributed to the CD - The Color of Hope.
Afterward we will continue with the show, the subject yet to be determined.
Deborah New Moon Rising, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & storyteller extraordinaire.
Deborah has been married to her husband Ken for 46 years. She is the proud mother of two children, son Devin & daughter Beth. She is also the grandmother of four & great grandmother of two.
Deborah’s storytelling began with her children and in recent years has become a passion to bring the stories of Native America to the general public through performances at Schools, Colleges & Universities, Pow Wows & Native gatherings.
Deborah has traveled the east coast from Maine to Florida sharing the stories & wisdom of the native peoples.
This 2 time Native American Music Awards winner has 5 CD’s to her credit.
She was the 2010 NAMMY nominee for the best female artist & the recipient of the Silver Arrow Lifetime Achievement Award.
