The Unadorned Cup

You know, we hear much in the churches today about Christlikeness in the believer; but they see and preach only the shadow of this truth; the only Christlikeness that God will see in us, is that which He saw in His Son -- He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied -- here, on the cross, in the cup, is the only real Christlikeness we will find in this world. As Job said, almost two thousand years before the way of the cross was taken; "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."

If you be His; you will drink of this cup.
