  • The Cycles Of Change

    in Culture

Cycles Radio explores the Cycles of Change based on the study of your host, K. David Katzmire, who has developed the theory for more than three decades to understand the Cycles of Time. Universal patterns can be found in a person, a nation and in the eras of civilization on different scales of size and time. Therein lie undulating energies of physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual cycles that are replete through our lives in wonderful fractal patterns that we can discern once we unlock the simple code.

“Real journalism is publishing something someone else does not want published – the rest is just public relations.” George Orwell
With so much drama in the world today in our communities on both macro and micro levels, it’s always strange to see the news or people that claim to be journalists talking about all kinds of silly things and never what’s going on. The Firing Squad is here to take aim at all that is wrong with the world, starting with our own communities. Three men of color with no censor and no objectives but truth, justice and common sense. Each episode will deal with hot-button issues with honesty, straight talk, and humor whenever possible . No personality is untouchable, and no one is spared the venom, or the praise whenever fit.
The format fo the show is simple five topics a week with 5 minutes devoted to each topic, and a close by each individual member featuring a verbal shot of their own choosing.

  • Discovering your purpose: Why are you here?

    in Culture

"We earn the right to be called HUMAN by doing HUMANITARIAN deeds."  Therefore, when we say we're a part of the "human race", is it true--or is it just a scientific cliche'?
Our current condition of disarray proves that most of us live "beneath" human standards, in terms of how little we care for one another. No compassion; no kindness; no love; no hope.
We are each responsible for all of our experiences. Every thought we think is creating our future. The point of power is always in the present moment. Everyone suffers from "self-hatred" and "guilt". The bottom liine for everyone is, "I'm not good enough." It's only a thought, and a thought can be changed. We create every so-called illness in our body. Resentment, criticism, and guilt are the most damaging patterns. Releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer. We must resease the past and forgive everyone. We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves. Self-approval and self acceptance NOW are the keys to positive change. Knowing your past helps you understand your current condition.

  • Second Annual Leonard Peltier Birthday Special

    in Culture

Peltier will have turned 70 years old at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex in Florida, 38 of those years in prison while serving a life sentence in the deaths of two FBI agents. The federal prosecutors have attempted to portray him as a callous cold-blooded murderer, however, when confronted with with held evidence, a ballistic report said that Peltiers gun was not the one that killed the agents. Prosecutor, Lynn Crooks, admitted that they did not know who killed the agents! Due to a supreme court ruling, the federal court were unable to grant a new trial. Federal Judge Gerald Heaney, who presided over this appeals court hearing stated he felt a degree of discmfort with their decision and wrote a letter to the president asking that Peltier's sentence be commuted. His case has been supported by foreign heads of state and world religious leaders, and is even considered a political prisoner by Amnesty International who have reviewed trial records and determined he has not received a fair trial. Peltier has also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his charitable works, SIX times! As we near his birthday, we ask everyone to help publize his case and create widespread awareness. Would be presidential assassins, mass murderers and numerous other killers have been released, while Peltier remains imprisoned despite a mountain of evidence revealing fabrication of evidence, coercing/falsifying testimony and other consitutional violations. We will have several special guests on this program September 12th, and towards the conclusion of the show, we will open up as many lines as we can to sing Happy Birthday to Leonard Peltier. I hope that you will join us! For more info, go to: http://www.leonardpeltier.info/
