Last week went so well we decided to do it again. We will pick up with Part 2 of the discussion from last week with the same panel of participants to stir this up - before the dialogue as SoulFood:Ingredient can be added to the Art:Work. Since I have found discussions in the "media" largely less than satisfying and the "official" focus typically cyclical- I invited a few people to help take a look from different perspectives. Building on the Cultural Fusion theme of Radical Inclusion we are joined by... Atayne CEO/Founder -Jeremy Litchfield http://www.atayne.com, Musician, Composer, & Artist- Eduardo Martinez http://www.eduardomartinez.com, and Stephanie McKenzie http://stephaniedmckenzie.com. When undertaking an enterprise or project it is common to start by surveying the context to define needs. In community development this is called a needs assessment. In Cultural Fusion Experience it just a step in the process. This is an important step towards formulating an inclusive strategy. While my interest is art as the foundation let's see what our insightful guests have to say. The web and globalization are redefining community, leading to new innovations in economic models and therefore it will have an increasing impact on regional economic development. Whether we find new ways of doing these assessments or simply find new ways to supplement what is - it seems important to consider these issues in the context of the open systems facilitated by the internet as well as the push towards transparency that will shape the success of globalization. Panelists will address five or six questions to illuminate the needs within their industry and then each will have the chance to express their ideas about the way forward.
