He was born in Banes, Cuba, arrived via the Pedro Pan Operation in 1962 at age 9. "I thank God my parents had the vision to send my brother and me to a free and democratic land. Grew up in NYC, attended Power Memorial Academy, the best all-boys Catholic high school in the city! Graduated from St.Thomas U. in Miami with a BA in Communications and a Masters in Management. I was in pharmaceutical sales for many years until one day I got up, and quit. That was in 2003. Ever since I have been teaching at Carlos Albizu University and Everest Institute in the Business Department."
My wife Josie and I have two children Fernando 31, and Naty, 27. No grandkids yet but we do have a dog, Bear. I firmly believe in marriage and in democracy as the best ways to live.
