Current safety and risk management guidelines necessitate that organizations develop and formally manage their understanding and knowledge of the standards and protocols of risk management. Join us as James Roughton discusses what curation is and ways safety and risk management professionals can become curators and get the tools and methods on how to manage electronic documents/data collected during the development of safety management systems.

 

James Roughton, Certified Safety Professional, Six Sigma Black Belt

James is a safety professional, experience in social medial productivity, and is an active member and webmaster of the Georgia Safety Conference Advisory Board, past President of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Georgia Chapter; Past Chair for the Gwinnett Safety Professionals Association and is an adjunct instructor in the College of Occupational Safety and Health at Columbia Southern University. He has received management awards for his efforts and was named the ASSE Georgia Chapter Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) 1998-1999, Project Safe Georgia Safety Professional, 2008, and the Georgia Department of Labor, Earl Everett Distinguished Service Award 2014.

Christie Ball

Christie Ball has been working with the Marketing and Outreach department for 4 and a half years. Christie is currently working as the Partnership Liaison for CSU, but spent the last four years representing the Occupational Safety and Health degree programs at various industry related conferences throughout the United States.
