We are kicking off Fire Prevention Month on our next episode of CSU Talk Radio. Join our own Billy Hayes as he discusses ways to prevent fire at home as well as the workplace as well as the importance of prevention training as part of the mission to protect.
Billy Hayes
Billy came to CSU with 21 years of experience and education from the fire service. He most recently served with the District of Columbia Fire EMS as director of Public Information and Community Affairs. Prior to this, he served eight years as the fire chief for the City of Riverdale in metro Atlanta. He serves in several associations including the International Association of Fire Chiefs (Program Planning Committee and E-Learning Sub-committee); the advocate manager for the “Everyone Goes Home” program with the National Fallen Fire Firefighters Association and he is a past president of Metro Atlanta Fire Chiefs Association. Billy is a graduate of Georgia Military College, National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute and the Regional Leadership Institute.
