Need more comment space... Now, when you get down to rendition and torture...that's another can of worms entirely, and I'd be happy to discuss that if you would like. You are most welcome to call in at any time. :)

"Lisa, here's my first problem - you take Abu Ghraib and Haditha (that slander is falling apart, eh?) and you tar the whole nation with it." As soon as you can point out where I have trashed my nation or her military over the actions of a few, you may have an argument. Calling into question the actions of a few is not labeling the entire group. Most people on the left direct their criticism to the specifics. Now, when you get down to rendition and torture...that's another can of wor

Grrr! My last words were " It is a generalization that is as destructive as calling ideological opponents traitors - you have become the monster you are fighting against."

Lisa, here's my first problem - you take Abu Ghraib and Haditha (that slander is falling apart, eh?) and you tar the whole nation with it. Are you saying that if we fall from perfection, we are no better than our enemies? You have taken the depraved actions of a few soldiers out of 130,000 and declared our nation depraved. Is that fair? Does not our nation's reaction to that horror say anything about us? It is a generalization that is as destructive as calling ideological opponents traitor

I'd also hope that we could engage in more extensive discussion of the issues in the future. (They really need to increase their character count on the comments side of this) Lisa Litchfield

America as a whole is supposed to be better than the Abu Graibs and Haidathas and when our representatives (military and Civilian) fail to live up to the standard of the just and moral America that has been fought for then they deserve to be called out. You told me to think a little harder. I do suggest that you try the same and actually listen to what I have to say the next time instead of hearing what you want to. That being said, I do appreciate the fact that you listened. I'd also ho

(continued) You see them in one form or another all over conservative blogs. Did you forget that is was George the Second and Vice Cheney who likened us to those that sat by and did nothing as the Nazis rose to power? This discussion was Goodwined by the administration long before I got on the air. And finally, calling out one man, or a small group of men, who happen to be in the military, for doing bad things is not slandering the military. It is calling attention to crimes. America as a

I appreciate your sentiments, however, you assume that I don't engage Republicans, more specifically Neo-COnservatives in discussion each and every day. The fact is, I do. Do a search on the Googles for the words Liberal Traitor or Democrat Traitor and start reading. Dismissing what Limbaugh, Malkin, Coulter and the like do as entertainment further trivializes what is taking place. They may think it's entertainment, however, many people take those sentiments seriously. You see them in one fo

You ought to ask a Republican for answers to your questions rather than creating a caricature of your political enemies and beating the hell out of it. Challenging the government doesn't make you a traitor, but undermining moral by calling soldiers "cold blooded murderers" comes close, doesn't it? Comparing Bush to Hitler - is that civil? Coulter and Limbaugh are entertainers - its Democratic leaders that are slandering our troops! Think a little harder!
