Taylor attended middle school at Lavilla School of the Arts, high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and is now a freshman at the State University of New York at Purchase College. When she can, Taylor takes every opportunity available to volunteer and help others in need by preparing meals at The Ronald McDonald House, teaching social dances at the Sulzbacher Center for Women and Children, performing in dance productions around town, or reading children’s books and volunteering as a teacher’s assistant at local elementary schools. In the last couple of years Taylor became the first Miss Black and Gold for the Jacksonville chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. Upsilon Lambda’s High school pageant, she was 1st runner up to Miss Daytona Beach in the Miss America Pageant, and in the summer of 2016 she became World’s Universal Girl in the Our Little Miss Pageant. Taylor plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Masters in Athletic Therapy. She works every day to perfect her craft of dance so that she can perform professionally with many prestigious companies around the world. George Bernard Shaw said that “Life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself” and Taylor applies this to her many endeavors.
