Asia Jaden Hickman was born in Ansbach, Germany into a military family, her dad a government employee and mother an officer in the United States Army. Asia has lived overseas the majority of her life, living a good portion in South, Korea. A talented classically trained musician, Asia’s interest in music came at the age of six, where she would take up her first violin lesson. Her interest in piano came later and at age 7 Asia began taking formal lessons on both piano and violin. It wasn’t until her acceptance to the Kaufman Special Music School in NYC in 2015 that she began learning to play the saxophone. At the age of 8, Asia began performing in concerts and piano competitions throughout South Korea winning numerous awards and being featured on Armed Forces Network radio and television broadcasts station. Asia has graced the stage of the world’s famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York and is a “stars of tomorrow” child star winner. Despite Asia’s busy schedule of at home practice and music lessons both in school and after school as well as maintaining her GPA, she also volunteers to serve the community with hard work and her talent. She performs often for senior citizens and veterans homes, as well as having played at many events such as the women’s history month celebrations, change of command ceremonies, orphanages and weddings just to name a few. In Asia’s spare time she enjoys competing in pageants and is currently the International Junior Miss pre-teen Miss West Point as well as the international talent title holder.
