Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time and have been doing so in the sacred circle of women.  Knowledge of Pregnancy and Childbirth was common amongst all women in Indigenous (Pre-Colonial) Societies.  Currently in the US, C-sections are the most commonly performed surgeries on women and many women enter pregnancy and labor without ever being taught about their bodies and how to get throught he process with the least amount of complications. Most women in America do not know of any other options besides the hospital and epidurals and have never heard of a Doula. In this show we will be discussing the role of a Doula (Female Servant/Helper) in Childbirth and how they can help a woman experience less complications. We will be discussing all of the things a woman needs to know prior to going into labor in the hospital or home births. We will be discussing the divine right of a woman to create life and we will also touch on the sensitive issue of Abortion and Women's Reprodcutve Rights in all that it encompasses.
