On March 25, 1988, 32-year-old Debi Whitlock was murdered and then raped in her Modesto, California home. Initially Debi's husband Harold was a suspect in his wife's murder, but he was never charged. Nine years passed without an arrest. But Debi's mother, Jacque MacDonald, never lost hope that the case would eventually be solved. She pursued her own investigation into her daughter's death, leaving no stone unturned. Her dedication was rewarded in 1997 with the arrest and conviction of the killer. An account of the case titled No Room For Doubt was written by Debi's step-daughter, Angela Dove, and was released last year. Tonight Kim Kolton and I will be joined by Jacque, Angela, and Lisa DeSantis of the Merced County Victim/Witness program, to discuss Debi's murder and its aftermath.
