March 10 - Jaijai Jackson - Creator of the Jazz Network World Wide/Women of Jazz
She considers her jazz social network site, The Jazz Network World Wide, “…a great place to hang." Jaijai Jackson, the Woman of Jazz, as she has been dubbed, is no stranger to the world of jazz. She is the daughter of famed jazz legend and inventor of the five string bass, Bassist Chubby Jackson. Jaijai has carved her own distinct path in the jazz world. Not only did she work as Assistant to Willard Alexander of the Willard Alexander Agency (one of the largest jazz agencies in NYC), she also toured, as a performer, with The Buddy Rich Orchestra. She is responsible for creating one of the largest and fastest growing social networks for Jazz artists on the internet, The Jazz Network World Wide, http:thejazznetworkworldwide.com.
Come join me as I talk to Jaijai about her life as she transitioned from a child of jazz, to her notable place in the jazz society today; and, her role in keeping the jazz scene alive.
