My guest in the Studio is writer and photographer Carren Strock.

Whether you’re shooting for fun, profit, using a throw-away camera or an expensive digital one, you can turn a basic photo into a great one, and have fun doing it.

We’ll discuss how to increase writing sales. We’ll briefly cover markets, client needs, guidelines, copyrights, model releases, record keeping, adverticals, and more.

CARREN STROCK is an internationally published writer, photographer and painter. She is the author of Married Women Who Love Women, which sold to Doubleday in ‘98 and was reissued in paperback by Alyson Publications in ‘00 before the second edition was published by Routledge Press in ‘08. Her second book is A Writer’s Journey: What to Know Before, During, and After Writing a Book (Gray Rabbit Publications, ‘10). Her articles, essays and stories have appeared in publications such as Newsweek, Ms., Women’s Day, Curve Magazine and in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. In conjunction with her writing, Carren’s photography has appeared in books, magazines and newspapers. Her photos have graced the covers of Architectural Design. By combining her writing and photography, sales have grown to include international markets such as My Weekly (England) and Women’s Weekly (Australia).
