  UNDER THE HOOD 2/6/09
  

  I have decided to name this blog, "Under the Hood", in keeping with the CAR theme! Each week I will have the same segments with new information! We will review the last show, make announcements, and preview the coming show. If there is anything you want to see included that isn't currently here, please let me know! Now...on with Under the Hood for this week.
  
  Well we drove through our first show and now are headed to our second! In case you missed it, remember that you can always listen on podcast!
  
  REVERSE-
  2/4/09 We introduced our new weekly segments and we discussed alternative therapies for dogs. We had Dr. Kim Bloomer & Dr. Jeanne Thomason of Animal Talk Naturally on air to speak to our subject after hearing the basics of holistic care. While we had one person express their opinion in the chat room, neither they, nor anyone else, called in to discuss. This is such a big topic, we may have to revisit it in the near future!
  
  PARK-
  We made an announcement that the CAR group needs a logo and is holding a contest for YOU to design one for us! It needs to be fun, crafty,creative, animal related, and speak to what we represent; a group of artistic types who raise funds for animal charity. If your logo is chosen by the directors as the winner, you will receive a $50 gift certificate to the CAR store, 2 weeks advertising on our radio show, 2 weeks advertising on our web site, 2 weeks advertising on this blog and 3 car points. You do NOT need to be a CAR member and you do not need to join CAR, but we HOPE that you will want to! Please submit your entries to the CAR website http://creativeanimalrelief.org  The deadline is February 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *We reserve the right to determine that no logo fits our needs, and in such case, the prizes will not be awarded. If chosen you will relinquish all rights to the design.   
  
  Do you have an announcement that relates to animal charities or an event that supports an animal charity? Let us know by filling out our charitable request form and we may announce it on our forum, blog, web site, or possibly even our radio show!
