  It's a Life, not a toy

  As Christmas draws near we would like to remind you that pets do not remain small little fur balls forever. They require love, care and attention all year, not just Christmas morning. Please do not give a pet as a gift, they deserve more consideration. You need to know and understand ALL the requirements of any pet you may consider bringing into your home.
  A puppy may be a pound or two now, but in six months how large will that animal be? In a year, how large will it have grown? Is the breed that you are looking at extremely active? Is it a one person dog or more family oriented? You really should check into all these issues and more before you take an animal home. Know as much as you can about the animal type before you agree to add it as a member of your family, and know that that is exactly what you are doing, you are adding a member to your family!
  That being said, if you can provide a loving home for a needy animal, please adopt one! There are way too many animals that need forever homes!
