One of the reasons I love my Creating Calm radio program is that I get to meet so many fascinating people. Rose Gordon is one of those incredible people who could fill ten programs with interesting things about her life. In this prerecorded program, Rose and I chatted about her work in Hospice and with families facing end of life decisions and questions.
Then I discovered her powerful work with Restorative Justice where she facilitates a council made up of a juvenile offender and his family, the victim of his crime and their family and members of the community. The purpose is to hold the offender accountable, to make restitution and amends, and to work to assure that the members of the community feel safe and the offender understands the ramifications of his/her actions. Powerful work.
And of course, we just got talking about life like two best friends over coffee. Join me and listen to the inspiring Rose Gordon – and my apologizes for calling her Ruth several times during the interview. You can see her work at: http://www.circleofcompassionatecare.com/
